Green Thumb

I can look inside me now

And just because you showed me how.

I was afraid; would not believe,

But changed some things and pulled some weeds.

I look up, you're looking in.

You've rearranged the place again.

Without fear, you plant more seeds

Till the soil, and pull the weeds.

Fearfully, and with one eye

I plug my nose and peek inside.

I prod and poke the bits and parts

And realise I've made a start.

I look up, you're looking in

Our child's garden once again.

Side by side you plant some seeds

She smiles a smile and pulls some weeds.
